The Clerk has released the third quarter report for the Office of the Board of County Commissioners, a copy of which is posted to this website. JOHNSON COUNTY RECEIVED GOVERNMENT TRANSPARENCY AWARD 8/18/09
Johnson County received the Government Transparency Award by SIRE Technologies, Inc., as part of SIRE’s Annual Roundtable event on Tues., August 18, 2009. The award —presented to the Office of the Board of County Commissioners— recognizes the County’s implementation of its Legislative Information Management System (LIMS) to significantly increase government transparency, thereby improving accessibility to government decision-making processes and accountability to its citizens. Johnson County’s LIMS uses modular components provided by SIRE Technologies, including its electronic document management system and Agenda Plus system. As part of the overall project plan, Johnson County anticipates a full roll-out of the system to other policy-making bodies within the organization, thereby maximizing the return on its investment.
